Good read on your post. One thing really resonated with me - when you started to express your position on use cases, you started by giving _your_ definition of a use case. Everyone has to do that, because "use case" means such different things to different people. For exactly that reason, I've started a series of posts defining use cases and giving their pros and cons here (http://tynerblain.wordpress.com/2005/12/18/use-cases-series-introduction/). If you have the time to check in over the next week as I post the rest of the articles, I'd appreciate you sharing your thoughts - I like the points you've made here. My next post in the series will be on informal use cases, and I do plan to post about scenarios/stories as well.
